Sales emails from Rensel Holding AS

Who we are. Rensel Holding AS, a Norwegian limited company (org. no. 924 514 841), Økernveien 214, 0584 Oslo, Norway. Contact: trond@rensel.dev. We are the controller for the data described here.

Why you got an email from us. We do two things for software companies:

What we hold about you. Your name, your role, the work email address your company publishes, the page where we found it and the date, the emails between us, and whether you asked us to stop. Nothing else. We don't track whether you open our emails or click links.

Where we got it. From public pages: your company's own website, documentation or code repositories, or its Y Combinator company page. Each email names the page.

Why, and on what legal basis. To offer our services to your company. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in offering services to businesses: GDPR art. 6 (1) f, and for people in the UK, UK GDPR art. 6 (1) f. We have recorded why we think this doesn't override your interests, and you can ask us for that record.

Who sees it. Only us, and our email provider Zoho, which processes it for us under a data processing agreement. Zoho stores our email in its EU data centre. In rare cases, Zoho's support staff in India may access it, under the EU's standard contractual clauses. We never sell or share it.

How long we keep it.

Your rights.

If you are in the UK. You have the same rights under UK GDPR. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In the UK we only email people at limited companies and LLPs.

No automated decisions. No decisions about you are made by automated means.
